Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What makes Swim Well School different from other swim lesson programs?
A: At Swim Well School, we focus on creating a positive and progressive learning environment that prioritizes safety and fun. Our instructors use games and toys to engage children while teaching essential swim skills. We offer personalized, at-home lessons to ensure your child learns in a comfortable, familiar setting with one-on-one attention. We understand every child learns differently and we’re happy to personalize each lesson to make sure your child learns to love the water!
Q: What ages do you teach?
A: We teach children of all ages, from toddlers just starting to get comfortable in the water to older kids looking to improve their swim skills and confidence. We also offer adult lessons for any adults looking to learn, build, or simply train in swimming.
Q: How do you handle children who are afraid of the water?
A: We specialize in gentle, child-centered approaches that meet each child at their comfort level. Our instructors build trust through play and encouragement, helping kids gradually overcome fear and develop confidence in the water.
Q: Are your lessons private or group?
A: We offer both private one-on-one lessons and small group classes. Private lessons provide personalized attention tailored to your child’s specific needs and pace, while our group lessons create a fun, social environment where kids learn and play together safely.
Q: Do you provide lessons at my home pool?
A: Yes! We bring swim lessons directly to your backyard pool in Orange County to create a familiar and comfortable learning environment. If you don’t have a pool at home, we can most likely match you with a local pool nearby where lessons can take place.
Q: How often should my child take lessons?
A: We usually recommend the more the better since consistency really helps kids make faster progress, kind of like learning how to ride a bike. That said, it’s always up to your family’s schedule and goals. We do offer lessons on a monthly basis if that works best for you, but weekly or biweekly lessons typically help build skills and confidence more quickly.
Q: What should my child bring to the lesson?
A: Just their swimsuit, towel, and a positive attitude! We bring all necessary teaching tools, toys, and safety equipment.
Q: What if my child misses a lesson?
A: We understand that sometimes life happens. Please notify us at least 72 hours in advance if you need to reschedule. Since your lesson time slot is reserved especially for your child, lessons canceled without proper notice will be charged in full.
